You Were So Shiny.

by Smileandsayfake   Jan 18, 2006

You have been the best,
And the worst of me.
You have made me happy, sad,
And you have made me bleed.

You used to be so shiny,
And glimmering in the sun.
But now you're old and faded,
You used to be so much fun.

We had some great times, did we not?
I would cry and you would too.
You would ease the pain for me,
You were there when I was blue.

But where did you go, my love?
You've been gone a long time.
I have missed you so much darling,
Oh so shiny razor of mine.

Remember when I broke up with him?
Oh, but we got through it.
We were such good friends, you know,
Oh, but why did we have to quit?

Sometimes I think crazy things,
Like talking to you again.
My friends say I shouldn't,
But I don't know who will win.

They say you always have us,
Even though I know I do.
You were there for me more,
Don't you miss me to?

You were my worst secret,
And I didn't hide you well.
People hate me for this,
But they can go to hell.

I miss you, my lovely razor,
But we won't be together.
I have to say goodbye to you,
For tonight, and forever.

It's a great poem, and you're a great writer, you always have been. I liked the flow of this poem, as well as the message. Stay strong for me darling, I'll always be as close to you as I can be, if not just two doors down the hall. I love you greatly. Take care. E >. xoxox
