Crushed

by Brian   Jan 18, 2006

Music plays when I look into her eyes
A soft, sweet melody that fills my heart
It basks in the warmth of the tune
And bleeds tears when we are apart

Oblivious to my secret crush, she smiles
As if we have been together for years
Obstacles keep us from expanding our feelings
Trampled, desires vanish with our fears

Wanting to expose my soul to hers
Allowing them to grow into a foundation
Providing no seeds to sow for this courtship
Has turned hope into a lonely addiction

All is lost if feelings are confessed
They disappear behind my smile; waiting
For that one day when Heaven opens up
And her hand slides into mine; clutching
