Age affair (I don't know if it counts but yeah..)

by [She.Falls.Asleep]   Jan 18, 2006

*I don't know if this counts as a poem, but I thought I'd post it anyway*

The wind is blowing over,
As I stand there looking into your eyes,
You take my hand without hesitation,
And bring it to your lips,
Kiss it slowly,
But never taking your eyes off mine,
Tingles, Goosebumps, Shivers,
I'm just a school girl,
You're a real man.

Sitting on the hill top,
Your hands on my knee,
I'm not smiling outside,
But I can feel my happiness in me,
It's there for sure,
You slide your hand away from my knee,
Shivers, Goosebumps, Tingles,
Everything topsy turvy, Reversed,
I'm just a girl and now you're just a boy,
Both hoping for a future together.

Stroking your face,
Saying good bye,
It's over, It's finished, Just friends,
I don't see the point in asking why,
I know the reason,
Age, People... your wife,
One final kiss,
Crimson on pink,
Goosebumps, Shivers, Tingles,
And I leave you with the red stain to fade.

I'm just a school girl,
Proms next week,
You're a real man,
With the real world to go seek,
Running away,
Back to reality,
But I'll never forget...
You were a great memory...
