No Shame in Love

by EpithetPoet   Jan 19, 2006

Love is dying on your breath
It amazes me how little you care
The sun shined brilliantly once
But it burned your skin so fair

You left yourself alone in worry
Of time, of creation, of fear
When everything you hated so
Was everything that you held dear

It built a wall around you
And encased your tears so tight
That they flowed up and choked you
Blurring your already jaded sight

If everything you cared for died
In a single second it all was gone
Would you cry another tear for me?
Or show you never cared all along?

Let yourself alone with your pride
And you'll never receive any pain
But let yourself fall painfully in love
For in that, there is no shame
