I wish I knew what the right would be to do,
I don't want to lose you, that is true,
But am I just a fool?
I know what people may think of me,
For sticking with you for this long,
I know what they all say about me being with you,
But I just shake it off, its my life, not theirs.
Defending your name, making them see they've got it wrong,
You're a good guy deep down inside.
Arranged to see you today after school,
You promised you'd show,
Afraid to take a chance,
Just in case I was proved wrong.
Then I got a text on my phone,
Surely you're running out of excuses by now?
You've told me you'll me soon, at the weekend,
But should I take a risk?
All I seem to do, is get my hopes way up high,
Only to come crashing back down.
