Keeper

by shenoa   Jan 20, 2006

Steady and sure you stand
not so far away
if i called,
you'd come
if i cried,
you'd wipe my tears
if i screamed,
you soothe my terror
if i begged,
you'd oblige
boldly, i see your face in my mind,
it fades slowly
lost in shades of gray
can i lock you out?
keep you away?
overpowered, i think of you more
i scream for you
pleading for you touch
hold me close, treat me right
i can't bring myself
to love you
i cant.
but i can drift of the
winds of time
breaking down lovers
who cross my path
I've done this to you
broke you down
but i pause and then move on
are you a toy- easy to reach
but worn out and old,
breakable?
or something more.
the keeper of my heart
