Reminiscing

by Paris Erskine   Jan 20, 2006

Sitting here looking at this picture reminds me of how we use to be.
It reminds me of how I thought you'd be the only love I'd ever see.

The way our faces touched and met together so perfectly.
Your chocolate skin against my vanilla complexion made a delightful mixed up specialty.

Our legs wrapped around each other as if we could never let the other go.
But now as I see us now, I just sit and think "Where did we lose control?"

Now your really gone and just a vivid memory from my past.
I noticed I loved you so much and you disappeared so fast.

I dream away my nights, dreaming of you back in my life.
But deep down when reality returns, I know it'll never be right.

So I guess its really over and these are my last and final words.
But just to ease my pain Im going to mark this one un-finished... wishing you could one day return!

Wow.... this is really great, you got some serious talent.... I suppose alot of your own personal emotins motivated you to write this poem huh??? Good expression of feelings in that case... And I've been in your situation and it sucks... But the ending of your poem gives me some hope.... Does it give you hope too???
    Beautiful.....
