A Poet or A Criminal

Things beneath the meaning
of these tears are reasons
you can never understand.

you may say a poet
but I'm a criminal
i steal your beauty
and put it in words
held in a ransom
till some poison
will repay this sin.

only wishing for your bitter company
hate it, need it, your lust i feel
don't tell me to come down from the roof
and if i start falling then hold back
the sensation to save me...never catch me.
just let me go, better off for a broken soul.

you ignore all the good memories
and accuse me of all the bad ones.
so throw away my broken thoughts
give me back my hopeless heart
you don't need it, the only love
i knew is bleeding on the floor
i don't need love or life anymore.

Just give me some venom
and I'll inject it in my soul
but it won't be what kills me
because there have been loves stories
where people can't live without a heart.
and you took mine...tore it apart.

Ya, I'm the hopeless poet
your the bitter criminal
but its only my dreams
that you ever killed.

you don't need it, the only love
i knew is bleeding on the floor.
i don't need love or life anymore.

I'll keep you in my nightmares
as you hand me deadly pills
with one last kiss, I'll sing
love songs that make you cry
as you stare deep into my eyes
on top of me, all for the lust
as i gasp in pain and regret
just one night, you wouldn't leave
and now i never want to sleep...
again.

I'm a criminal, not a poet
I took away the inspiration
that once made you beautiful
now whenever i see you
your empty...so empty
all that fills my thoughts
are regrets of you...

look at the rose on the coffin
it may be red, but before it was white
then you dipped it in the puddle
of where you found me lying...

tonight I'll make my own fate
put on the dress i know you hate
nothing left more that i need
i took a picture of you with me
then went to visit the cemetery
blurry vision, deadly incision
at the same time the pain is draining
blood on my sleeves, time to leave
I'll miss you boy, your bitter company...
I'll miss you...

    This is a really interesing piece, I found it quite complex. I was surprised at the ending but I think it fit in well. Your work is different to anything I've read, you're a very talented author, keep it up :)))

    Wolfy!!!! *hugs* dont ever feel bad about who you are. that only makes it a deeper hole to get out of. I can name a lot of things about you that are really great.

    ~10 reasons why layla is a good person and not a criminal~

    1) You're an awesome poet!
    2) Rainy looks up to you
    3) You will always be beautiful on the inside
    4) You have more friends than the socially dead
    5) You've been through so much...you're a survivor
    6) You have a great imagination (which is one of the biggest reasons I think you're great!)
    7) You're wonderful (wonderful is the best word i give out in compliments)
    8) You can be open when you need to
    9) You just are so sweet, i bet ya love animals
    10) you are great at art. (hey, i bought chalk now so...how do i do the page without smudging, wolfy? can u give me some hints???)

    And most of all, you're a treasure that is priceless. don't ever let people take away your serenity.
