Love me to Death

by PaperAngel   Jan 21, 2006

Angels fallen around my feet,
Their soft feathers stroking my tear stained cheek,
Glad to know you cared so much,
Such a shame I didn't feel the same.

And maybe when I plunge this knife through my breast,
You'll know that you broke my heart,
Kind of funny isn't it,
I cared so much.

Remember all those years back you brought me that rose,
Hope my blood will remind you of its bloom,
Such a dark crimson red,
May the pain stab into you like a thorn.

All those times you said you loved me,
When was it before those words became just words,
I'd laugh myself back to life if you still say you do,
Sure, you loved me to death.

They say love will set you free,
It only made me feel like I was trapped in a cage,
I loved you regardless,
Least yo can do is keep my grave tidy.

I guess you've stopped reading this now,
And cast my last farewell into the flames,
Let me be your warmth one last time,
You'll soon be as feeling-less as me.
