You wont grow on me

by Stevie B   Jan 21, 2006

You're the lone flower that blooms in autumn
The most beautiful rose that man has forgotten
i protected you and tended your seeds
but still baby, you wont grow on me

you're the wooden debris that refuses to splinter
you're the wasp that survives the winter
you are the overcoat that everyman needs
but still somehow you wont grow on me

you're the resilient bird with a broken wing
you're that crisp morning feeling throughout the spring
you are the saving light when lost at sea
i don't understand why you wont grow on me

you're the hero that wont let depression become her
you're the refreshing breeze in the peak of summer
it doesn't matter how i beg and plea, baby
whatever i do you wont grow on me
