Holly that was a wonderful poem. i love it so much. actually i feel like i can relate to this a ton lately, with one of my friends something kind of like this happened and now we are trying to work through it and it's getting kind of back to normal. or as close to normal it can get. wonderful poem! ( i'm slowly but surely going to catch up on all the poems i missed for exams!)

I could feel the pain and sadness throughout each and every stanza .
When a friendship with a cherished friend is broken a piece of your heart gets broken too.....

I know exactly how you feel Holly. Great writing woman. I feel the same way about of friend of mine. I loved this part:

"...I retrieve this box
once in a while
Just to relive the past
hoping to smile

But in reading your words
tears fill my eyes
Within each line
