If I die tonight...

by Jacob M Parnell   Jan 23, 2006

If I was to die tonight.
This is what I would say.
To make it all right.
To make everything ok.
============================
To my brother.
I just want you to know.
I loved you like no other.
And never forget that bro.
============================
To Margaret and Mary.
The twin sisters I wish I better knew.
No matter what yall were always there.
And for that let me just say thank you.
============================
To the girl I love.
Yes I'm talking about you.
I cherished the time of my life you were apart of.
And from the first time I said "I love you", know it was true.
============================
To my mom.
I just wanted you to be happy.
I knew I never was good enough.
I'm sorry I made your life so crappie.
============================
To my dad.
Excuse me this may take awhile.
To everything you've ever had.
I hope it was all worthwhile
============================
You screwed up me.
And my older brother.
You can disagree.
You'll hear the same thing from any other.
=============================
I loved you dad.
And just wanted to make you proud.
But I would always end up making you mad.
And I was always hidden under your shroud.
==========================
This world was a cruel place.
I hope the next treats me better.
Because in this life I lost the race.
Which is the reason I'm writing this letter.
==========================
So If I die tonight.
I promise everything will be ok.
I just hope I didn't die without a fight.
And I hope god forgives me for forgetting to pray...

    Jake this poem was really interesting. Wow and that Catherine girl seems pretty mad about your poem, but I still like it. Please don't give up writing like I did. You really are a great writer. :)
