Silhouetted in the Rainbow

I sit and gaze at the spectrum of colours,
Its in the sky that I see your silhouette,
Through the haze there is a vivid rainbow,
Every hue is a part of you, how could I ever forget.

Your burning love can be felt from wherever,
As your heart is painted with the deepest red,
But with this intense passion and strength,
Its this red that brings also my danger and dread.

The answer to your warmth is evident in the sky,
The orange shows me your vibrant personality,
Merging with your constant energy and zest,
Why I cant let go, your my hearts brutality.

Yellow symbolizes your happiness and joy,
Your eyes are open to only optimism and cheer,
But it also combines dishonesty and deceit,
And a little cowardice, hazards that bring this tear.

In the midst of green, exists a contrast of traits,
Good luck, youth and vigour are all found in you,
But theres jealousy and envy that create a stain,
I couldnt talk to another without being untrue.

Being with you taught me of real loyalty,
Like the water; you kept calm and stable,
With me, this blue part of you was pure and friendly,
But now all you want is the popularity label.

The hardest hue to find in you is intuitive indigo,
The colour of the midnight sky that we laid under,
Indigo turns the blue inward; its personal and profound,
Your hidden feelings still make me wonder.

Here royalty and spirituality are brought to your life,
I know that inside you are delicate and sensitive,
But violet is a shade that most men dislike,
Hidden by your arrogance, I still find you attractive.

Slowly the rainbow fades from my sight,
The famed promise of no such end is verified,
As the colours fade; your silhouette does the same,
But my own promise of no such end is clarified.

In time, the rain will cease and you and I, here below,
Together will sit and gaze at another vivid rainbow.
