A Funeral You Caused

by Jo   Jan 24, 2006

Inch by inch,
I made this piece of art for you;
Something to remember me by.

Tear by tear,
I shed my pain into this,
Just so you could see the damage you caused.

You ripped me to shreds,
From the inside-out;
Not caring to notice the hurt it brought.

Drip by drip,
The blood flows from my skin;
Creating a pool of unhappiness.

Day by day,
I'm deteriorating with every infliction,
You lay on my soul.

You watched me suffer inside,
And never tried to help;
Slowly killing the person I once knew.

One by one,
The scars began to show;
And you started to see my pain.

Cut by cut,
You started to see this disaster you created,
From the lies you told.

You broke my heart,
And then smiled as you walked away;
Leaving me out in the cold.

Side by side,
You stood beside the ones you hurt;
The ones who loved me 'til the end.

Face by face,
They looked into your eyes with disgrace,
Wanting to hurt you like you had hurt me before.

You killed the one thing they loved,
I died trying not to lose you;
And drip by drip, your tears fell onto my coffin door.
