Age Is Only A Number

by Brook   Jan 24, 2006

We say age is only a number,
is that what we really mean
would people feel the same if they could see what remains unseen.

Could we last throw all the
tribulations and rise above
and keep our friendship, passion,
trust, and love.

When you are near you scare me,
but not the way you think.
the way you look at me, it makes
my heart sink.

You make me feel beautiful
even on my worst day.
the way you hold me at night is
the way I want us to stay.

I know you have been cheated on
and it broke your heart in two
do you think you could give it to some one who will always stay true.

I know you feel it, the way it
feels when we're not together
all you have to do is tell me when
and I will be with you forever.

There is a sadness in your eyes
a blank spot in your heart
if you give me a chance to fill it
nothing will ever pull us apart.

I don't know when my feelings
changed for you
but what I do know is I am ready
for us to try something new.

All the signs are there so why are
you holding back
is there something you're not
telling me or is it something I lack.

I've been hurt and my heart to
has been left broken
I'm willing to risk it all but don't leave me with words left unspoken.

I believe age is only a number and who cares what people think
are you willing to take a chance cause we might be each others missing link.
