Ode to mother

You make me so pi*t off i wish i could spit fire on you
You don't understand much of anything except for what you think you know
I am tired of your double standards. Whether you admit that you have them or not, i'm telling you you do.
I am not a child. I am 20. If you don't know how to respect an adult, or your daughter by now, my disgust with you is growing.
I don't think you have any huge issues, aside from you being you.
Your controlling, dominative presence is like a devil on my shoulder.
Living your wasted life through my fresh one is appalling.
And your claims to it being to protect me; save your saviorness and martyrdom for someone else.cause all your bullsh*t is ripping at my chest. A thought is to try your ways out on your other two offspring, and don't jip them with stinginess, give it to 'em baby! And i don't want to hear them bit*hing either about how i turned you from me to them. They're not stupid by any means...they know what you're like and pray to the father every minute in gratitude that you're on my back and not on theirs. How we smart kids came from you is for anyone to guess.
These da*n puppet strings you've drilled into me and my life won't make me like you, or save me from you. nor will they keep me from making mistakes, repeats of your or my own. Wherever you feel you didn't sufficiently live, i am sorry you cannot go back. But don't take me down your cliff with you. Let me go and let me live. You had your life, you made your life, you made mistakes and you got hurt. I will too. That's what life is, living and learning. You live with yours, and i'll live with mine. without you.
