Part of my childhood

by Sorefromreality   Jan 25, 2006

With its hot pink tint
and its smooth black wheels
it can make me happy
gives me something to really feel

riding down the kitchen tile
seems like it could go for miles
I'm the driver, I'm in charge
b/c it is small, and i am large

i go wherever i want
from the jungles to vermont
i go where my imagination takes me
i can pretend to be anything

i will be a star
it can take me to my premiere
it gives sheer happiness
and takes away my fear

i feel like a kid again
like i am where i belong
as i steer on these four wheels
nothing seems wrong

i love this piece of my past
too bad it didn't last
it used to take me so far
but now its just my barbie car

I use to like barbie too... i also use to like the "i'm a barbie girl" song... and i sang it in a talent show in 3rd grade... pretty good poem. well expressed. i wish i was a child again too, unfortunately.

    excellent work. 5/5.
