Life is unfair

by charko   Jan 25, 2006

We are born to gamble:
Will we live?
Will we die?
Though, Even as we live
The gamble never stops
we are born to die:
it's not fair.

Lush is a gamble.
Will it turn to love?
Will it break to hate?
Lush never ends.
As time go on,
love will end:
it's not fair

To compete is to gamble.
Will we win?
Will we lose?
Its our nature to compete.
One mans loss
is another mans gain:
its not fair

Freedom is a gamble.
Will we miss that cage?
The one we call home?
What does it mean to be free?
Theres that gravity
we are bound by destiny
its not fair.

We live to gamble.
We treasure life before death.
We treasure love before hate.
We compete for freedom.
Life is like walking in circles:
Fate is certain.

Life is unfair.

Hmm..at first the title threw me off. Thought it would be a pissing and moaning poem. But the meaning goes much farther and I like it quite a lot. I would also like to thank you for the constructive criticism on my poem "Never A Decent Love Poem". Take Care.
