Simply Lust

I will not be a fool
i cannot trust
Ive broken every rule
there's no such thing as love, only lust

no single person
will come along
b/c it seems everyone
has done me wrong

i can forgive
but i cant forget
Ive been kicked while i was down
i have so much to regret

now as i wake from this blissful night's sleep
i pray to god
my soul to keep

that i will find someone that cares
but i don't even dare,
dare to love
dare to trust
b/c it all ends up
not being just
it is only
simply lust

    i know the feeling of questioning love, but in the end my faith in it is renewed

    This is a great poem!! Never give up hope. Everyone has bad experiences, but love really does exist. Wonderfully written, though.

    It's really good and full of meaning but if this is true then don't be so regretful there will always be something new you'll regret and it's just not worth it to let things bother you
