Please Be Patient With Me

Ive been in the dark for so long
the sky is filled with emptiness and pain
the never ending flow of blood pouring from my arm
no matter how hard I try I cant seem to hit the vein
its like a river of sweet release
a river so beautiful that you'll never understand
don't tell me that everything will be all right... u don't have a clue
you say my point of view needs to change but theres no way when
the problems I have are more than I can bare and no one seems to really care
u say u do.... well I guess we' ll just have to see
but please don't mess with me.. I'm tired of being hurt by people with lies
who just back away when they see the tears in my eyes
i need your help so ill give it a shot

as it turns out
there are really people out there that really do have a care and want to see me live
and because you' ve showed me this
I'm slowly starting to see the light its peaking through the clouds
as I slowly bring my umbrella down
a rain drop comes and hits me on the head
then my smile turns to a frown.. the umbrella goes back up again
but don't give up on me
one day ill see the shining sun
just wait and see
all your time and effort will not have been wasted on me
but for now
please be patient with me
