Is there any way possible
To let you go?
I would like to,
But deep down,
I really don't want to.
I love you so much.
And I think somewhere inside of you,
You love me too.
I've tried so hard to forget everything
From that first night
To our final hours.
It worked for a little while,
But then you came back,
And screwed everything up.
I was on my way to getting back to my regular life,
But I realized that that wasn't what I wanted.
I didn't know that though,
Until you smiled at me,
And everything I tried to forget
Came back to me
And filled my life with joy once more.
How do you do that?
How do you make a cloudy day
Suddenly filled with sunshine?
A blank canvas
Suddenly display the most beautiful painting?
A boring life
Suddenly have meaning?
How did you make me see
The rainbow in my life?
How could I have missed it?
And then,
You left again.
And tore my heart into pieces...
Again.
How could I have not seen that coming?
