Hiding something

by Fliss   Jan 26, 2006

Sitting amongst todays society,
I gaze at the surroundings,

Hearing it on the news, radio,
Seeing it on TV, I become confused and distraught,

The sensual smell that drifts by,
Takes my personality so I don’t have to face it,

The thoughts in my head are getting stronger,
Until I say them out loud, I struggle to lead a normal life,

I know it is real, but the thought is painful,
A metaphorical puzzle in need of help,

Unaware of where the pieces go,
Just waiting to be discovered, acknowledged.
