Wishes dont come true

by poetking   Jan 27, 2006

Now he sits alone,
In his broken world
In his broken life
Never treated equal
Never treated right

Dreams of being happy
Dreams of bliss
Wishing for that one girl
With that one special kiss
Curios thoughts, of if that one thing,
Even exists

Things don't get better
Things just get worse
He wishes those two things
Weren't as diverse

Love is his addiction
Bliss is his cocaine
Feeling good is his luck
Feeling sad is his routine

Not caring to live
Not caring to die
Too scared to love again
Too scared to say goodbye

Seeing people happy
Makes him feel sad
Knowing they have something
That he's never had

Hoping to find the 4-leaf clover
Searching for a shooting star
Day after day, over and over

Throwing coins into the fountain
Always crossing his fingers
Hoping that wishes
Will make him feel better

Anxiety attacks,
Just to blow out the candles
He had to learn the hard way,
Wishes are scandals
