I Cried

I cried for so much
I cried for the soldiers who died for me to live
Cried for the love I almost lost

It's time to dry our tears now
As I think of what could have been, I stop to realize that what's done is done
The past is the past

Let's move on
Let's forgive but not forget

Learn from your mistakes, don't make them again

I still have a hard time keeping the tears back
but I do
I know there is hope for it to get better
So just shut your eyes
Grit your teeth
and move forward into what hopefully will be a better world
