Footprints In The Sand...

It wasn't too long ago,
When we played in the sand,
Sitting together, laughing together,
Always hand in hand...

It's only been a few years,
But it seems like forever,
So long since we've been like that,
So long since we've been together.

We used to spend the night,
And never fall asleep,
We used to always jump rope,
And hopscotch down the street.

And we used to sit on the sand,
And watch the sun go down,
Now we're always apart,
And now you're never around.

But no one, dear friend, will take your place,
They'll never understand,
Even though this friendship is broken,
Our footsteps are still in the sand.

    You are such a good writter. Flow, rhythem, thought, emotoin, and I know you didn't write this so it could be read by countless people you don't know, but it will relate to a lot of people. Makes me think of my lost friend... I hope the scenes you used aren't just figurative, I hope you actually expiranced this, memmories are great things to hold on to, and I wish I had more with my lost friend.
