I love you

Whenever I think of you,
all I do is sit and smile,
I always feel so special,
just for a little while,

You don't have to be with me,
we could be miles apart,
I am safe and protected,
while you're in my heart,

Like an angel by my side,
and a comfort to my soul,
You filled that great big gap,
there no longer is a hole,

You have no idea at all,
how much you mean to me,
I'd shout it from the rooftops,
for the whole wide world to see,

I'll take the time to thank you,
you've been the very best,
You've given me more than anyone,
you're better than all the rest,

Also i'd like to say to you,
my love for you will never end,
Thanks for taking the time to listen,
and just for being my friend,

Why am I writing this poem?
to show how much I love you,
To say that I appreciate,
every little thing you do!
