Black

by anet1987   Jan 31, 2006

Dark, alarming
and strangely alluring.
Fearful, quiet
and oddly disturbing.
I swallow the light,
and deepen the night.
I am empty and faded,
yet bold and undated.
I stand all alone,
strong and unmoving.
I am universal, vast,
when all else is gone I will remain,
solitarily last,
unmatched and unchanged.
Some call me evil,
some misunderstood,
but what ever you call me
bad or good,
I simply am what I am.
And I am
Black.
