I've lost a friend and I don't know why,
Well...there was this one incident with an older guy,
All I did was try to protect her,
From this strange, potential predator,
I didn't want to see her sixteen and a mommy,
That isn't the way her life needs to be,
She said I only think of myself,
But I'm thinking of her own emotional health...

I've lost a friend and I don't know why,

So I look out at the sky, perched on the window sill...
Because I love her still...
