Four Closest Friends

by Ashelin   Feb 1, 2006

Once it was one
Who walked through this world
Confused and lost
In the thoughts of life

Then there were two
Both so alike
Laughing together
Glad for life

On one fateful day
When the two were talking
A third came to be
To join the party

The three became friends
When others looked away
And when the world looked back
A fourth came to stay

A wonderful quartet
Of friends did arise
All so different from each other
But so much the same inside

As time went by
The quartet become something else
Lines of love were drawn
Between the two boys and two girls

The quartet became a secret
From those who would tear it apart
From people who hate
The four closest hearts.

I you can delete this if you want, but if you might take my comment I appreciate it.
Might you think of making the last sentence "The four closest hearts."?
