The Cycle

by *lil muffin*   Feb 2, 2006

She stands outside the door
No one knows that she's there
She screams on the inside
but on the outside says a prayer

They're at it again
Screaming and yelling
They can't they stop
They're always failing

This life that they live
It's not a life at all
All the abuse
All of the calls

Their daughter sits
behind their door
crying her eyes out
against the hard floor

Why does she have to go through this
Each and every day
It's ruining her on the inside
She feels now it doesn't help if she prays

She wants to scream
And put this fight to a halt
But she's scared that it may
have been all her fault

Now her daddy's moving
Way far away
Daddy says it's not her fault
To her it doesn't matter, its all the same

Now she is married
To the same kind of man
Her mommy was married to
the cycle's began

Now her daughters
Going through
The same thing she did
She doesn't know what to do

People get
Into bad relationships
And don't even know
What their kids are going thorough

When a cycle begins
And no one does anything about it
It continues around
There is nothing anyone can do about it
