When weakness overcomes strength

by ~the sound of silence~   Feb 5, 2006

Strong enough to start a verbal stand off again
too weak to just walk away and let you win
strong enough to slam the door and flee in rage
too weak to stick around and try to solve this
strong enough to hold the tears back day after day
too weak to let my emotions show
strong enough to push myself until i can't break anymore
too weak to know when to quit
strong enough to take the pain of the razor across my wrist
too weak to admit it's killing me
strong enough to seize the pill bottle that will end my life
too weak not to think about what i could miss
strong enough to write out the words of your death
too weak to actually fulfill them
strong enough to cauterize your soul with my words
too weak to give you any water
strong enough to scream and say it to your face
too weak to whisper an apology to your heart
