Mysterious Creature of the Sea

by Psychopathic   Feb 5, 2006

While waves crash and run ashore,
a beautiful creature emerges from below
with breathtaking green eyes
and long, wavy brown hair.
Tales of old have been passed down through the ages
of a creature that lured men out of their ships
only to be drowned in the depths.
Some call her a siren
because her seductive songs and enchanting voice
cause men to crash their ships on the razor-sharp reefs.
Others call her a mermaid,
half fish, half woman,
bewitching men to fall overboard.
Immortal is she,
the goddess of the sea.
And when the waves stop crashing and running ashore,
she will still be emerging from the depths of the sea,
eternally enticing and mysterious.

Absoloutely beautiful words put togethor in such a clever way.
I see this as having many meanings. Some would call it a love poem, others a darker poem, another about nature? Its all of these and more. Please comment on my poems i would appreciate it so much
