The boy I saw on the rainy day

by Truly in Love   Feb 6, 2006

There stands a boy under the jasmine tree
He has everything he wants, he is free
Deep in thought, he stands alone
But he doesn't know that his hidden feelings have shown

On the other side of the street, I stand drenched waiting for my ride
Waiting for my shown feelings to somehow hide
As I search through the people, he meets my eye
Secretly, conveying his dreams, the dream of reaching the sky

I got home, imaging how his eyes fell on mine
How can someone so unknown make my world shine?
What was it about him that caught my sight?
How did this stranger give me the courage to fight?

Through his eyes, he said so much more
He closed my fears and opened new doors
Yet there are things that are still left unexplained
Was it just time, or was fate suppose to be blamed?

Why his presence made a difference in my life, I still don't know
But it was as peaceful as feeling a spring breeze blow
Will I ever get to meet him again on some other rainy day?
If I ever get the chance to converse with him, what would he say?

The thoughts of a 'yet to be loved' girl would he want to hear?
I'll patiently wait for this rainy day again, I'll patiently wait for the sky to clear
