Closed doors and lost chances

by cassandra   Feb 7, 2006

She walks down the hall of closed doors and lost chances

stumbling along with nothing more than whispers and side glances

so many doors opened and slammed shut

causing sharp pains and a deeper cut

her heart is broken; her ego bruised

so many times she has been used

living life blindly, not seeing what she has

realizing she needs it when it\'s already passed

knocking on all the wrong entries

sheâ??ll continue on like this for centuries

scared to submit herself to others

yet naïvely she gives in to her lovers

still handing her heart over to every opened door

giving all she has and giving more and more

she heals her heart and never learns her lesson

but moves on to more closed doors and lost chances
