Feelings Shown ...A Little To Late

As I sit here in the darkness all alone
The machine picks up with the ringing of the phone
It says we are not here right now,leave a message and we'll
return your call
Your voice I haven't heard in so long ,as it echo's through the hall
The hall where we used to lovingly embrace
The hall I used to walk down every morning ,just to see the
smile upon your face
The table has two settings one for you and one for me
The memorable talks we had there, the way things used to be
The mailman brings a stack of mail all addressed to you
I'd like to give it to you someday ,Yes that's what I'd like to do
I'd like to tell you someday exactly how I feel
To let you know the love that I feel for you is very,very real
I'd like to hold you in my arms
And protect you from all harm
I'm sorry that I never let you know all the feelings that I had
You left me one lone picture of you and for that I am glad
So I guess that we will never be together
I'll never stop loving you in my heart, you have a permanent
place there forever
