Metal Man

by Tim Klassen   Feb 9, 2006

Your head encased in steel, your heart doubly so. Never letting its beat be heard. Never knowing that to those who are closest to you, its beat would be our sweetest music. Your ears are filled with lead, never hearing our pleas, and your hands are cold iron, giving only disapproval. While it is true that you are stronger than all of us, you have turned yourself into a monstrosity. you were filled at your creation and have never partaken of the world's riches. thinking your knowledge to be enough. Someday hopefully our love will crack your shell.
And you will see,
that our frailty,
our imperfection,
is beauty,
in its purest form.
