Let it fly away
If it causes you pain
It is yours to bear
Wear it like a badge
and say that it is yours
If others more noble and great than you
try to save you
they are to be treasured
and loved for their concern
but ultimately pushed aside.
If it is for less noble reasons
that they try to be your shield.
than use their judgement to push you onward.
