Humilation

One night while praying in bed
I looked up to the heavens and sorrowfully said
***
My God have thou forgotten me?
It seems as though you have
For now when I search for you
Your presence I no longer have
And much to my humiliation he answers back
**
My dear child thou art not forsaken
And never shall you be
It is not I that has left
It is you that has forgotten me
***
Though in prayer
You may not feel me
I am always near
And I will never leave you
Even though that is what you fear
*****
How can you think such a thing!
Could it be you question your king?
And I said
**********
No my father I do not question you
Yet I silently agreed
I replied
I have prayed and you have not answered
And I know not what to do!
I have tried to walk beside you and
In your footprints I wish to follow
**
Anger flashed across the mighty kings eyes
And with that anger came a look of despise
He declares Let it be known that I am GOD!
********
Not one thing is hidden from my eyes
How dare you say to me such wretched deceitful lies!
*******
You say that I have forsaken you?
Yet it is you whom has strayed
Though many others for your salvation have prayed
*******
My dear child it is time to decide
Will you wander away or once again be called
one of mine?

i started writing this poem at like eleven at night because i couldnt get it out of my head till i wrote it down
