The stars

by garrett32   Feb 12, 2006

As I sit and stair at the stars I wonder how I got his far.
The time traveled may be but mute, but that same time to my heart may be quite brute.
But with long time those stars will turn, and also will my heart
a yearn.
Yearn for the eternity of eternities, the life of life's, the love of loves.
I await those stars, with a heavy heart and a heavy soul.
I await, await.

I don't know if it's because it has so much depth, or what, but though I enjoyed your word choices, I couldn't quite understand exactly what you were trying to say. LOL, but that's what poetry's about: taking a piece of writing and interpreting and appreciating it in your own way.
