I Thought You Cared

by TJ   Feb 14, 2006

You'd always love me,
I thought to myself,
you'd always care,
So much for my prediction.

It was Valentine's day 2004,
when i spied you walking through your front door,
With another guy,
His head held to the sky,
when my body started trembling.

I had a rose,
clenched in my hand,
i told you i loved you,
i thought you'd understand.

With anger building in my head,
I watched the distance between you and me spread;
as my head started spinning round and round,
and i felt my body collapse on the ground.

Hatred started building quickly, towards your new found man;
I had to get rid of him swiftly,
I thought i had a plan.

I grabbed a knife,
I cut his throat,
I took his life,
I thought i had hope.

My life was over,
yet so was his,
I cried, you cried,
how could i have done this.

Did you not remember all those happy times?
Please don't forget because i won't.
But this is how you repay me.
Now the executioner has come to slay me.
