I just wanted to say thank you,
For what you did to me.
I never thought I'd say this,
But I'm glad you set me free.

The tears I thought would never stop,
And the pain I thought would never fade,
Has turned my fears to happiness,
And I'm no longer afraid.

I used to say I love you,
Now that seems so strange.
But the hate I feel for you now,
I'm sorry to say may never change.

Though I'm trying to forgive you,
It'd be easier if I could forget,
All the pain you caused me,
And every single regret.

But I've learned a hard lesson.
And it's all because of you.
It's made me so much stronger,
And I feel no matter what I'll make it through.
