In the corner

by beth   Feb 15, 2006

In the corner, squeezed up tight
Silently crying, in the dead of the night,
Praying for dawn, and yet dreading the light
Of day, when I have to get up
And smile like Iâ??m all right.
Maybe soon I will go so cold and numb
I wont feel the pain anymore.

Continuous exhaustgen, gripping my soul,
Remembering the days when I felt whole,
Lost in this nightmare, out of control.
Ive got so into playing the character,
That Ive forgotten the role.
But its okay, Ill just say fine,
And theyll believe me.
