My suicide

by katie hensley   Feb 15, 2006

Screaming louder, no one hears.
Silence is deafening, no one's there.
Drifting further into nothingness,
longing for forgetfulness.
Shaking in my skin,
battling demons within.

Self hatred springs without warning,
but I'll be better in the morning.
Good and evil, black and white,
my heart is like day and night.
I am destined to live in my own hell.
A place I created and know so well.

Downward spiral, a gaping black hole,
to which my soul calls home.
Empty bottle by my side,
sweet victory, my suicide.

Close my eyes and wait for death,
pray that soon I take my last breath.
I tempt death, I defy destiny.
My life, my suicide, how its meant to be.
