Take shelter from the storm

by LisaMarie   Feb 15, 2006

Showers of tears scattered through you your life,
I find you here, standing alone, cold and disorientated

All hope is hidden within bad memories of the past.
Shadows of darkness cloud your view.

My outstretched hand is waiting to guide you,
I want to show you that which you can't see

We can't stop the rain,
but can take shelter together,
not hide away,
just wait until the sun is ready to shine.

Such a lovely poem, I liked the way you coupled the stanzas, seemed to me like it represented you and your friend, you underneath her, supporting her. Obviously that could just be me lol, but I really enjoyed reading it all the same
