Your Words

Your Words

My life has changed year after year.
The anger of my parents fighting deceased my fear.
The fear of pain the fear of change.
Every where I go with her there is fighting.
My personal life was a wreck.
But I went to my grandmas that night.
I remember the last thing that my grandma said to me before I fell asleep that night
"I love you"
My grandmas love I carried with me everyday even when she was no where near
Then one day I was pulled out of class
The plane ride was long for an 10 year old
That night would be the last time I saw my grandma alive
All I did was cry with the words "I love you" in my head
That night my mind did not dream
When she died I realized I never said "goodbye"
"I want you to know"
I say looking to the sky "I love you, too."
I hope everyday I find another person like you.
