Take me where I cannot stand

by Janus   Feb 17, 2006

I met this girl who lived up there
Over the highest mountain, near the biggest square.
She took my love, she took my land
She took me where I could not stand.

She shared my love for the smallest things
She knew the world from here to Queens
Sometimes I miss the joy she brings
And how I love the songs she sings!

The cruelest girl I've ever met
She took me where I could not stand
She promised me the sky, I promised her the land
But she took the grounds on which I stand
