A Dangerous Mind

by Tess Beautifully Broken   Feb 18, 2006

For some reason,
Her heart belonged to you,
For some reason,
He loved her too.

How could someone,
So innocent and kind,
Turn into a dangerous mind.

His tears and his apologies,
Could never hide,
The terrible things that he tried.

The scary gleam in his eye,
Everything about his life was just a lie.
She should have seen it before,
But instead love clouded her mind,
She thought he was the most amazing guy she could find.

She made one mistake,
And his temper turned on,
She could never forget the damage heâ??s done.
Sheâ??s afraid to be alone,
With a person such as you.
He was far from kind, she always thought she knew.

The tears in her eyes,
The pain that he caused,
Life isnâ??t TV; we canâ??t fast forward, rewind, or pause.

She tried to break away,
But he sucked her back in,
Saying he didnâ??t want there relationship to fray.
What he didnâ??t know,
Was that the fraying had just begun.

Then she realized her pain,
And started to gain,
All the years she had lost.
She tried her best to wipe away the icy frost.

He said she broke his heart,
But really he broke hers,
She met someone new,
Someone sweet and kind,
She finally got the respect she earned,
She never again was blinded by love,
Lesson learned.
