An awkward love

by speachless01   Feb 19, 2006

This isn't a poem,
You'd hear every day.
Not " love SO much"
Or "why'd you go away?"

It's a little in between,
Something not so great.
A lot of care and love,
Torn by heart break.

I was his, then I wasn't,
Too many times to count.
But I made it up to him,
By letting my heart shout.

Everything back to normal,
Back to how it used to be.
Till the only girl,
On his mind wasn't me.

I wasn't too much,
I should never have known.
The man I once knew,
Had never really grown.

What was on his mind,
When the choice he made was done.
That I will never know,
For the lying had just begun.

I love you, he said,
Eh, what a lie.
Love is not to deceive,
And have 2 girls at the same time.

Don't try to pull the game,
Of saying "get over it".
Maybe I'll go tell another guy,
How much I need him,
How you don't care like he does,
Then you'd understand why.

Sorry doesn't cut it this time,
I love you doesn't either.
You played one too many games,
And now I'm gone forever.

Think twice before you lie,
And make promises untrue.
Before I fall,
Hopelessly in love with you.
