The Final Plea

by Chit Cyn   Feb 20, 2006

She was born...
Everyone's face bore a smile
Tears of joy dropped from every eyes

Now she dies...
Although smiles were stolen from faces
In the silence of the hearts they are present

Tears broke down, a different kind
Rejoicing that you have at last
Joined our Creator...
You should have long ago

The rays of the sun couldn't shine
On your skin yet it sets you divine
Of a peaceful death to be thankful for
An ailment caught you long bedridden
The life you led was a living dead

With her death...
Tears will pour washing away the sins
The cruel pride of your feuding siblings
A sacrificial lamb, a mother could have done
From earth you have missed to see the chance
From heaven you will see peace to prevail at last
