It was Never Over

by Kaylee   Feb 21, 2006

She had a hard life
so many problems
she met him
he was always there, always so sweet,
they got to know each other
she thought she was on top of the world
she started to fall
he caught her
she was in love
he told her that he loved her
she said the same back
nothing could tear them apart
when she cried
he held her
when she smiled
he was the reason
when she laughed
he laughed with her
when she needed a kiss
he was the one she went to
she gave up everything for him
he was her first
her first true love
her first kiss
her first slow dance
her first “I love you”

he started to change
she started to worry
he talked about other girls
she cried
he never knew
she never told
he started to hurt her more
she pretended she was okay,
when even she was falling apart
finally he went too far
her life came crumbling down
she thought for days about what to do
she told him that they needed to take a break
he said as long as she was happy
she didn’t want to lose him forever
even tho he hurt her
he was the only person that could make her smile
they decided they would still be friends

he told her he still loved her
she was stupid and told the same
she was starting to feel better
he told her that there is a girl in her place now
once again, he tore her apart
she started getting depressed
he talked about the girl in her place
she pretended everything was ok
he thought she was happy
she cried herself to sleep every night
one night she was at a party with her friends
he was with the girl
she was alone
he was in the bathroom with his new girl
they were kissing
he was holding her
she walked in
and saw the guy she loved holding and kissing the girl in her place
he noticed her standing there crying
she ran out of the house
he ran after her
she stopped and looked at him with her tear stained cheeks and said
“you were everything I have, and now I don’t have you I have nothing
She’ll never love you as much as I do
And when your holding her telling her all the things you told me
I hope your happy”
She turned away from him
Walking down the street
knowing he wasn’t going to stop her

Days went by
She held the phone up to her ear
Needing to hear his voice
But all was there was the dial tone
He was on the other side
Holding the phone to his ear
Waiting to hear her voice
But all he heard was the dial tone
They both still loved each other
She didn’t know that didn’t love the other girl
He didn’t mean to hurt her

One rainy night
She was depressed
So close to killing herself
He was the only one who could stop her
He was home alone
Missing her
Needing her
Wanting her

She couldn’t take it anymore
She ran out the door
No coat no shoe’s
She was headed for his house

He couldn’t take it anymore
He ran out the door
Headed to her house

She was running as fast as she could down the street
He was running as fast as he could up the street
She saw him running toward her
He saw her
The both met eye to eye
Rain dripping of their bodies
He put his hand on her cheek
She closed her eyes
He whispered “it was never over”
She whispered “and it still isn’t”

**the ending is basically the same as The Note Book, but I liked it so I used it…mmm, I know that this poem sucks, but im going to post it away**
